I have a APC Smart-UPS witch is connected via USB to my homeserver with CentOS. In CentOS I have the APCUPSD daemon installed to get all the datas from the UPS.

Now I want to setup FreeNAS as SLAVE to get also the datas from my homeserver.
As remote host I insert the IP from my homeserver. Under port I insert which I have setup in the APCUPSD on my homeserver.
Unfortunately the NAS don't get any datas from the server.

upsc ups@<IP homeserver>: Port will receive "Error: Write error: Broken pipe"

Can anybody help me?

Thanks for your support.
Chris

FreeNAS uses NUT. In order to make this work, you would need to run NUT on your CentOS server.

Got it to work.
I had to configure not as SLAVE rather as MASTER.
Driver I choosed "APC ups 3 (various) APCUPSD-controlled devices (apcupsd-ups)" and as Port I wrote in the IP:Port of the APCUPSD-Server.

With this configuration I am able to connect to my APCUPSD-Server and get the informations.
