Just got a TrueNAS Mini+, slowly trying to add in my set of 4 10TB NTFS drives with varying levels of >30% duplicate files, and a new blank 10TB drive to it.
At this point I have converted the blank drive to ZFS, put it in a new pool and am in the process of importing one of the four NTFS drives to it. Is it wrong to assume I can convert the newly imported drive once it's finished to ZFS, add it to the previous pool and repeat this process for the remaining drives? Then without enabling ZFS deduplication on them use a third party tool to clean up the resulting large pool? Or is there a better way to handle this kind of project?
