Can I use non-ecc memory on an Supermicro motherboard that has been designed for ecc memory?

Which board do you have? Supermicro's website has a list of tested DIMMs. For example the board X10SAE shows both ECC and Non-ECC memory as tested. Same with my X9 motherboard.
