If my UPS is unplugged, FreeNAS sends me an email every 5 minutes. It will continue sending emails every 5 minutes even after the UPS has been plugged back in. The only way to stop the emails is to reboot the box. Is this the way it's supposed to work?

Thanks

Might've gotten the port wrong and a reboot would have naturally restarted the UPS daemon, which I think automagically tries to look for UPSes on the USB ports.

You will probably be fine if you first turn off, then turn back on, the UPS service after you have unplugged and replugged your UPS.

Thanks. This has happened a couple of times when I slid the server out of the rack, the USB cable comes unplugged.
