No IP troubles

Hello people,

to start, sorry for my english, i'm french^^

i've some problems with the no ip's installation...

When i did pkg_add -r noip, the noip client was downloaded and partially installed. I just needed to make the conf. It's why i did : make conf but i didn't work, so i did: noip2 -C. After that, the file conf was made. But at each reboot, the file conf disappear...

After that, i decided to get directly the tar.gz, so i made a wget on the link of noip website. I made a tar -xzf noip.tar.gz, it was decompressed, but, impossible to do a "make" because i had'nt gcc :S ... i made a pkg_add -r gcc but i had an error: gcc need dependances... so i made a pkg_add -r binutils. Errors yet...


So i decided to install ports... I made this, but my /usr is to small, so the tar for the port stop when i have no free space... and all isn't install... Futhermore i can't do a make in gcc because /usr haven't free space...

So i need a solution to resize the /usr or install noip without gcc

Anyone may help me?

Why not just use Dynamic DNS from services??? It supports no-ip!!!

I thought that i needed the cleint because i had configure my ddns service but my ip in no-ip wasn't update

No, you dont need the client.

Check /var/log/message for possible errors.
