First, I upgraded my MiniXL to the latest stable FreeNAS release and wanted to improve network performance. So, I configured link aggregation through the GUI and saved the configuration. Now, I can't login through the GUI any longer. Please advise steps on how to recover my FreeNAS.

I should also note that the system appears to no longer get an ip address and appears to start to boot but then stops at some point. The system was responding without issue before turning on the link agg.

Please describe your system version and details including hardware. What options did you use when configuring the LAGG? Regardless, I suspect you will have to get to the physical console to recover network access. Also, please describe your network infrastructure. If you used LACP in the LAGG configuration, you have to make the appropriate changes on the network side. At the very least, you likely have to assign the IP to the LAGG instead of the physical. You can't have an IP assigned to a physical NIC when a LAGG is configured.

My system is 11.2, iXsystems MiniXL (purchased Jan 2019, so it should be current) with 2 drives in mirror configuration Seagate X12 Exos (12TB). This is running on all Ubiquiti Unifi Networking hardware, USG 2Plus. I just talked to Ubiquiti support, my USG doesn't support LAGG but I thought that it did.

When configuring LAGG, I just set the LACP protocol. And Saved the configuration. But before I even performed the upgrade of the OS, I do have a backup of my system configuration. Is there a post I could use to get back to the physical console?

I don't know how to restore the config from the CLI. I suspect you will need to hook up a monitor and keyboard to delete the LAGG and reassign the IP to the appropriate physical NIC. You could do it remotely if that box supports IPMI and you have it configured for that.

I was able to connect the CLI console and remove the link using option 2 and then reboot. All appears back to normal.
