Hi,
been a while that I had to redo my box but due to a mistake I had to do so and used 11.2 to rebuild.
I noticed that I can't change any settings on the default SMB share, nor can I set a maproot user - not sure those two are related though.
Its a virtualized box (4 cores, 32 g ram, pass through HBA), joined to an AD Domain. I do see the AD users on cli but not in the guest setting of SMB service mgmt
SMB share work with the default settings, but I cant apply these ones above.
On Unix I want to set the maproot user so my VMs get write access to the shares again.
I do see the mapped AD Users here but that won't help for ESX.
Not sure where to start digging..
I have seen the other discussions but not sure they are related.
Thanks,
