NFS + Mac + Kerberos/Active Directory

Hi there, looking for some help to set up authenticated NFS shares for Mac clients.

I have:

• Debian Samba 4 Active Directory Domain Controller
• Mac Mojave clients bound to AD
• FreeNAS 11.3 set up successfully authenticating SMB shares to AD users on Mac clients

I would like to try an NFS share authenticated via the AD. I tried making a new dataset and NFS share, but when I use krb5 security on the share, the Mac says 'permission denied.' I checked 'Enable NFS v4' in the NFS service and I tried a few different options on the Mac side to choose the NFS version and security protocol but no luck.

Does anyone have this working?
