Nextcloud Plug-in on 11.3 NGINX Welcome Screen

After upgrading to 11.3, I tried the jail update button on my existing Nextcloud jail. Short story, I’m no longer able to connect to Nextcloud. So I thought I’d try a fresh install with new jail using the plugin and then do an occ command to import the user data after set-up. Good plan. Just a little extra work.

Problem: After running the plugin installation, I hit the “Manage” button. Instead of a login/setup screen for Nextcloud, I get the “Welcome to Nginx” screen.

I tried both the DHCP and NAT options during install. Same issue on both.

Any thoughts on how to resolve?

Well, you shouldn't have been so hasty. There was no need to reinstall. What you should have done is reboot FreeNAS and check the IP of the jail after the reboot. I had the same and it appeared that after the upgrade, FreeNAS had been given a new IP address by my router. I removed the old one, which was configured as static, and reconfigured the new entry to be static and changed the IP to the old one. Problem fixed.

My FreeNAS server has the same IP as always. No issues connecting to FreeNAS or any other jails. Strictly the Nextcloud jail. Old Nextcloud jail still exists (currently stopped but also unreachable after upgrade). It's only the Nextcloud jail that is giving me the "Welcome to Nginx" screen. I assume there's a host or IP setting in a config file somewhere that needs to be edited to point in the right direction.

This had me scratching my head as well. To move past this screen, clear your browser cache.
