Hi Experts.
Forgive me for being a newbie. My old HP MediaSmart burned up in a house fire and now I'd like to have a real, proper NAS.
I'll be using an HP workstation that has 6 channels of Serial ATA (SATA) 3.0 Gb/s.
I keep reading suggestions saying go for 6.0 Gb/s so I purchased this card on eBay:
LSI 6Gbps SAS HBA 9240-8i P20 IT Mode ZFS FreeNAS unRAID + 2*SFF-8087 SATA US
I assume it is already flashed into IT mode hence the name. But, what I'm wondering is if I am plug and play ready for TrueNas Core 12.0-U1.1 and/or TrueNAS SCALE when the final is released?
If I need to do something to the card or something inside TrueNAS please let me know.
Thanks!!!
