Newb question

Hey guys I am new to the forms and I gotta question about freenas. I have a freenas setup now but I need a more powerful PC to run it. Will I loose all the data on the hard drive I use if I upgrade the hardware and freenas to the current version? Sorry if this is answered in another thread. And thanks for the help.

You can use your data drive in any other FreeNAS system (import volume). You can move your FreeNAS install/boot drive to another system and run it (and it will even remember your data disk if you connect that too).

What kind of piece of crap system would lose your data just because you moved it to new hardware?
