New zvol mean new shares?

I have a cifs share created and pointed to my "video's" zvol. I'd like to import some drives to add onto my system. I know that this means I'll have to create a new zvol.

Does this mean I'll have to create another share pointing to the new zvol and have 2 seperate shares for my video's? I'd rather add the additional drives to increase storage for my video's share if possible.

Are you referring to a zvol (raw device used by iSCSI) or a ZFS volume?

When you say import drives, does this mean they have existing data you want to keep or do you just want to add drives to increase capacity?

If you want to add drives to your ZFS pool, follow the instructions and caveats at http://doc.freenas.org/index.php/Volumes#Extending_a_ZFS_Volume.

Creating another zfs volume doesn't mean you need to create another share. It should show up as one big share.

I guess I mean a ZFS volume. When I look at my shares, I can only point it to one volume. So if I create a new volume with new disks, then I cant I'd have to create a new share to point to that correct?
