New users

Hi Guys

New user here.. Installed scale on Proxmox last night all seems awesome, however

I've created a new user, a pool and a shared location which I can access from windows. But everytime I try and login to the gui with that new user, I get wrong username or password.

Not sure what I'm missing, any help?

By default only two users can access the gui, root and admin. During the truenas installation you should have been asked if you want to disable the root login and add the admin user for gui access. If you want a different user to have access to the gui, you have to add that user to the buildin administrator group.

Or are you trying to have non-admin users use the admin UI (which isn't possible)?

Hi thanks

I installed with the option Admin account and created a password, but that didn't work so I had to log in with root which got me in

Then I just created a user thinking it would get gui access as a normal user.
