New users not showing up

I did a fresh install of 9.3 and trying to add users. They get created, but do not show up on the list of users. At first I thought it failed, but the console complains that the user exists when I try again. I can login as that user, but they do not show up under 'View Users', how do I edit? I did setup LDAP when installing, but I see nothing created in the directory.

Are you using local users (created on FreeNAS system) or importing LDAP users?

If your goal is to import LDAP users, any errors in /var/log/messages?

I added the user in the FreeNAS GUI under Account -> Users -> Add User. I didn't get an error and it says the user already exists if I try again, I can also login as the user, but it doesn't show in the list of user names.

Which list? The one in Users -> View Users or somewhere else?

Is LDAP still configured (e.g are their filled in settings in Directory Service -> LDAP)? Are you planning on using LDAP?

Sorry, scratch that, LDAP was configured when I installed and perhaps the first user never got created, I just didn't notice the message in the console the first time, but there is no error when adding in the GUI, only the console that it exists. Because I was trying to create a user that already had the ID used in LDAP. I just tried creating a user *not* in LDAP and it works fine.....
