New install

Hi all,

I am new to Freenas. I just installed Freenas on an old PC I had laying around. I have 2 x 1Tb disk and when I installed Freenas it installed on my first disk and I cannot use it for storage. Where should I install the OS if I want to be able to use both disk for storage?

Re-read the first section.

Then read the hardware requirements.

Then have a look at your hardware selection and decide how important your data is. Because I'm betting you don't have appropriate hardware and are at risk of data loss

Can I boot from a CD and install on a USB drive? or do I have to boot from a USB?

I know I only have 2 disk now, this is just to test. Planning on having 4 x 3 TB disk for real system.
