Good evening and thanks ahead of time for even taking the time to read this. Obviously I'm new to freenas so as a result I've done lots of reading and did a ton of messing around and familiarizing my self with the gui and commands with some old hard drives. After a few weeks I decided to spend the money and pick up 3 2tb wd red drives for a proper zraid. I deleted every thing I could get to in the gui and reset to default and removed my old drives and installed the new hdd's. Once booted I attempted to create a volume and one of the drives will not part during the volume creation so each attempt fails. I also tried to wipe the problem drive via gui and it's denied every time. I plugged each new drive into my desk top and zerod and still getting the same issue. Running 9.2.1.9. I know I'm lacking lots of info but this is a start. Any ideas?

What is the error when you try to create a pool and what is the error you get when trying to erase them?

You can always use dban to wipe clean the drives.

I just tried a fresh install and everything seems alright now. Thanks for the fast reply.
