New hardware added.

Hello everyone,,
I've purchased a HP P410 SAS Controller and booted the system.

However either Freenas or the kernel does not see the card, nor any drives attached to it.

Is there a quick way to get this working, or something special like compiling the drives or adding the hardware so that I can see the new drives to make this work?

Well, first, that's a RAID controller, not simply a SAS controller, and therefore wouldn't be recommended in any event. But with that said, the FreeBSD 11.2 HCL lists that card as supported using the ciss driver. Assuming that driver ships with FreeNAS, if it doesn't recognize the card on boot, adding a loader tunable as specified on that man page may help.
