Hey folks,

Working on building out an r710 (SFF) with ESXi.
The server will be my lab for various InfoSec related things and my fileserver using FreeNAS in a VM.
A couple of my buddies bought Drobos .... but I like to build and tinker.
Provisional Specs:
- Dual Xeon
- 8 x 1TB SAS HDD
- 1 320GB SSD (SLOG)
- HBA: IBM ServeRAID M1015
- 64GB PC3-10600R ECC

Even though you are just using it for practice- I would bump the virtual RAM up to 8GB.
