New Forum user canot post or even reply to existing threads

I've been a forum member for several days and do not have permission to directly post or reply to threads.
It goes into a queue to be manually moderated/reviewed.
How do I gain normal user access?

This is not covered or answered in the Forum rules and guidelines section that I have read twice.
I suggest you update the Sticky Guidelines post with this information.
And if you could answer me here that would be appreciated.

Some spam rules limit new users' permissions until they have a few posts under their belts. I don't know what might have triggered it in your case, but one of the admins should be able to review the logs.

That's fine though my post's main thrust was to update the documentation to point out what causes it and what to expect.
Do I need more posts? if so how many?
Do I need to email an admin to clear it?
That is the kind of missing information I feel would benefit to be included in the forum guidelines for new users.
