I'm very new to freenas & have been reading lots.
A simple question Is
I have an old PC i want to turn into a freenas server

Its 2.8ghz Intel 32bit (not dual core 64bit)
with 2gb ddr ram
I've set up freenas on a 8gb usb drive and got It up and running.
tested with old ide drives.
40gb which i have Jail set up on and running transmission ok
80gb which is the download drive for transmission
80gb drive which i have set up as backup drive for windows pcs
all drives are set up ufs

I have 2x2tb sata drives which are in a usb case.

I was wondering if i can add these to freenas without losing all the data on them
one has about 1.2tb of data on and the
other has 900gb of data on it. ( I don't want to lose the data)

would my set up be able to handle 2x2tb sata drives and what would be the best way to set this up. I'm low on funds at the moment. so i'm trying to work with what i've got.

any help would be gratefully received.

Big THANKS In advanced

Thanks for all your help lmao
So you want someone to hold your hand while you read the documentation?

This is covered extensively in the forums and from the documentation

you should double the ram or atlease 8gb, im not sure about freenas on 32bit.
those 2x2tb drives are in what format?,backup then format them to ufs or zfs.

im not sure about your setup but your likely get into problems, no point upgrading, best to buy a new unit.

you need to read the user doc - you best spend a few days so you know what your getting into.
