when I try to install them, I try with bios, and EFI, same problem. I try to install them on hard drive and usb key same problem.....
my hardware is super micro X7DB8, with 32 Gig of ram.

I going on the bios page and choose default setting, and nothing change.
the installation not working....
I have no idea what happen and how to resolve them. if some one tell me why !

Regards.

this may sound trivial but have you tried different install media? I have been bitten by that before

I downloaded the new .iso file, and install them on usb device for installation.
I start the installation (sorry for the bad picture)
upload_2018-10-4_12-15-13.png

after that the server reboot, I never see "finish to install and reboot"
and if I try to boot from the hard drive where the os suppose to be install.....
nothing. I'm not going forward.

I try the same thing with the new image on CD, nothing much more.

thank's Quiltface for the tips!

It's far away in my memorry, I think is missing a driver.. not a driver but I think I need to enter a special command line in GRUB during installation. but I found nothing on this subject, is too far on my memorry and my note.
I think is about someting, look like a cout down I need to increase the value or cancelle them ?

I clone my "freenas boot hard drive" with acronis. I hate work with the original, and I copy on other hard drive... now is possible to take risk.

I try to install freenas 11 on the same hard drive than freenas 9.10.2 but I have same issue, the server reboot suddenly without complete the installation, not so far than my previous post.
when I boot, is regular boot = 9.10.2, nothing appear for freenas 11.1 U6

I try to install 11.1 on usb key, it's worst than on hard drive....

I continue to digg

Let's go through the steps one by one.

1) What .iso did you download?
2) How did you create the installer? What device did you use?

More detail about what you did will be helpful.

1- I download iso 11.1 stable
2- I use Rufus with the iso, and mount them in DD. the regular maner gave to me less step than I post previously

I make some research about the reboot... I found somewhere a solution and I found what resolv temporately my problem on the previous installation of version 9.X and now is possible make fresh install of freenas V. 11.X

SOLUTION:
On the bios "watch dog" option was and is disable, but if the jumper on the motherboard are not in position "disable" the option stay ON and after few minutes (5 minutes) the server reboot itself during installation.

That is the happy ending :D
