Reinstalling 11.1 wiped out all settings/config on this LAN. While trying to set up the former LAGG, i somehow removed the NIC that was used by the FreeNAS web gui. No NICs are configured right now. So, I am using IPMI to access console setup which says "The web interface could not be accessed"

From shell, looking at the first two of six interfaces, shows this - "no carrier"
I've tried several permutations of ifconfig & dhclient commands from within IPMI console without any luck

I understand that any changes from shell would not survive a reboot, just hoping to get into the GUI so I can permanently turn on DHCP for an interface

Any advice would be appreciated

Just use the netcli networking menu to reset the interface to the default (DHCP). A reboot also tends to speed up thongs after the configuration is changed.
