Hi There,

I SSH'd into my NAS to copy some files around, and when I logged in and started changing directories. I noticed something. Usually I only have a single /mnt directory.

Now I have...

/mnt
/mnt.14636
/mnt.6439

They are both empty. Two questions...
  1. I'm assuming it's okay to delete them. Right?
  2. How did they get there? How do I prevent that in the future?
THANKS in advance!

Did you figure this mystery out?
Nope haven't heard anything on the front yet... My gut tells me it's totally safe to delete the directories, but on the flipside, they don't appear to be hurting anything. If I can find a reason they exist, and then work from there, that would be more satisfying.
