I've searched (unsuccessfully, obviously, else I wouldn't be taking up the bandwidth):
In the process of installing an H200 card (flashed to IT mode) in my new-to-me R710, I disconnected the PERC6i's battery cable, but then didn't see a corresponding socket on the H200 card.
Is this because the H200 doesn't use battery back-up (i.e., no flushing of a cache upon power loss)? The only unpopulated socket I saw on the H200 card is a two-pin activity LED connection; nothing (that I noticed, at least) for the 5-pin backup battery cable.
Just wanting to make sure I'm not missing something. The H200 is working fine; I can see all six of the installed 4TB WD Red drives reported during system boot.
Thanks,
Mark
