I will have a replacement soon and then reinstall the NAS software on the SSD. Just wonder how hard it would be to get my drive Pools back up and running without reformatting the HDs again? I remember when I transferred my HDDs in Windows 10, once I had drive being seen, I had to take ownership of the files that took about 20 hours. I have never tried it in FreeNAS or TrueNAS before. I don't want to lose the data...

Any help would be nice...

Just import them - and you should be golden.
You aren't using encryption are you?
Do you not have a config backup?

BTW - please include hardware details when asking questions - it makes thing so much easier for us

Loosing a boot drive will normally not jeapordize your pool any time soon. The ZFS system is quit solid in that respect. If you need to start from scratch and you don't have a backup of your config you wil need to do some work ofcourse, but your data should be golden at import as @NugentS stated. If you do have a backup of your config you can be done with reinstalling TrueNAS and loading your config in less then 30 minutes.

When you don't have a backup of your configuration do yourself a favor and read the "Sysem" -->> "General" -->>"System Config Backups" section of the TrueNAS manual. Make it a habit to backup your Config regulary but at last at every change. Reinstalling TrueNAS and loading a stored Config is really very easy and should not give you any troubles.

There are a set of scripts available that will email you a backup every time you run them. This is what I do - I get an emailed backup every day which I just let stay in my email. I occasionally go in delete all but the newest week of them
I also get daily SMART, ZPOOL Status and UPS Status and actually do look at the first two on a regular basis.
I have also tested the backup / restore process using one of these emailed backups which basically worked although I recall a couple of difficulties - but nothing major
