I have generated a spreadsheet that to the best of my knowledge represents my system's configuration as far as physical disks-to-VDEV-to-ZPOOL is concerned. I have included it below:

Disk2 - TRAY 4 is a drive that went bad and is still sitting there
Disk1 - TRAY 9 is a spare drive just sitting in the system unused

My question to you all is, why do I have 2 device ID's (e.g. da8 and da18) for every physical disk in my system? I am going to take an educated guess and say that they are there from a previous ZPOOL that has since been deleted. If that is the case then is there a way to see which device ID's are the valid ones and which ones are the invalid (no longer used) ones?

Maybe. Does anyone care to help me understand this a little more? I thought that multi-pathing would be reflected at the target level (not disk level).
