Hi,
we are currently using a HPE DL180G9 Server with a P440 Raid Controller in Raid5 Mode (4x4 TB WD RED).
Storage is shared via Windows Server 2016. Read/Write performance is ok at about 4 Gbit/s on a 10 Gbit/s Intel NIC.

Now im testing FreeNAS on older hardware (ML310e Gen8, 16GB ECC, Xeon E3 1220 V3, 10 Gbit/s Intel NIC) and a H220 HBA flashed to LSI IT Mode (P20) (2308 Chipset). I put 3x1TB Disks inside and created a RaidZ1 Volume. Write performance via SMB Share is about 2 Gbit/s. Read performance is about the same when things are not in Cache it seems.
What can I do to ramp up the performance to at least the same or better performance ?

I have found that enabling jumbo frames is critical with 10 Gb/s networks.

Hmm we already enabled Jumbo frames (mtu 9000) - did not give any advantage as of yet...
