Missing smb4.conf on fresh install

May I ask, what are the advantages of starting a separate conversation ? Apparently my netiquette needs improvement.

It's a bit more private than attaching the debug here in the forums, or in the chat.

It's not separate conversation. Debugs can contain information that may be regarded as private / sensitive in nature. Maybe not best to place where can be downloaded freely by third parties.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I'm seeing the same issue on a recently updated 11.3-U5 system. AD binding isn't working as a result, b/c samba can't load. Narrowed it down to the same idmap.fruit error after I run `midclt call etc.generate smb`, yet none of my shares have fruit enabled (at least, not that I can see in smb4_share.conf.

Reverting to 11.2-U8 has things working again. AD is configured to use autorid, not fruit. I'm going to try the upgrade again in the morning.
