Hey guys,

Had a drive go bad in my pool, so I replaced it yesterday. I think I might have forgotten to offline it before replacing. Anyways, once it was physically replaced, I went in the GUI and clicked Replace in the volume manager. Everything's resilvered and working properly from what I can see, but my daily output shows this :

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
Raidz2 ONLINE 0 0 0
raidz2 ONLINE 0 0 0
ada0p2 ONLINE 0 0 0
ada1p2 ONLINE 0 0 0
ada3p2 ONLINE 0 0 0
ada4p2 ONLINE 0 0 0
ada5p2 ONLINE 0 0 0
gptid/2f756925-9267-11e2-aed5-f46d04ee3b78 ONLINE 0 0 0 1.63T resilvered
spares
ada7p2 AVAIL

I have this setup in a Raidz2 setup with 6 drives in the pool, and a hot spare (ada7). So, It seems that ada6 has not "taken" properly. I haven't seen this terminology before. Is this a big deal? If so, could someone please help in resolving?

I'm running 8.2.0 RELEASE.

Thanks in advance!

The labeling by gptid is normal. Only very early FreeNAS 8 versions did not create such labels and used ada1p1 etc - when did you originally create your pool?
This should not cause any problems.

Created it way back in 2011, I believe, with 8.0.X (I forget which). One of the very early versions of FreeNAS8, as you mention. So not a cause for concern then?
