Replacing my MB and cpu

Once I plug in the current drives will my zpool pick up from where It left off?

I don't see why not. As long as you're not making changes to the boot device.

I don't foresee an issue as long as:
  1. The hardware is supported
  2. You are not using anything funky/outside supported configurations (like a Hardware Raid with the drives being passed as Raid0)
You may have to re-configure your Network Adapter, but aside from that you should be fine.

For a more precise answer, let us know what the old hardware is/was and what the new hardware is going to be and FreeNas version.

*** To be safe, I would recommend you have an updated copy of the configuration file.

Usually with a motherboard swap, you might need to reconfigure the NIC, if the hardware changed. Other than that, you should be good to go.

yes, I just did this. Don't even have to keep the data disks in any order with freenas. It finds them

yes completed

after installing everything all i had to do was use import volume and it all showed back up in my freenas web gui!
