Message Console froze

Hi forum,

While working on a fix of my Plugins list (thanks to a forum member), the message console froze with the error message indicated in attached file. Now I know I am a rookie, but it looks like it won't connect or some link is broken. It happened after a reboot from the GUI. So far, I've been able find what I was looking for in the forums, but I think I need a little help with this. Has anybody run into this problem before and if so, what was the fix? Your help would be appreciated...

Are you doing ZFS? If so, you need 8GB of RAM for the system to operate properly.

If you are doing UFS can you try upgrading to 3GB of RAM and see if the problem persists? There's been some evidence as of late that UFS needs 3GB of RAM with 9.2.1.x. :(

And no to ZFS. I wouldn't attempt it with resources this low. I will see if I can dig up some larger memory sticks. But if that turns out to be the cause, why did it run smoothly for almost 2 weeks? Just trying to get a handle on things...

no clue. The problem is that the system is just under-resourced.. it's like a balloon.. one breath too much and it goes pop.
