Memory Upgrade Options?

Our systems are using X9DRi-LN4F+ system boards.

We currently have 8 8GB ECC PC3-12800R Dimms in the server.

I'd like to upgrade to 128gb 196 or 256GB of Ram.

The server board has 24 dimm slots.

Any suggestions for memory? Any good deals out there?

I may be wrong but it doesn't sound like memory speed is a huge deal, just having lots matters more than anything?

Well, just get whatever you can easily acquire from the QVL that is within your budget.

Having more slow memory is better than having less memory that is fast, yes.

As long as you test the crap out of it (that means an intensive, all-CPUs-enabled, long run of MemTest86), there are often deals to be found on ebay. Set up a daily search/alert for the part numbers listed in the SM approved list for whatever size you want.
