Memory reporting oddity?

I have installed 2 x 4GB memory modules on my HP Proliant N40L Microserver which is running FreeNAS-8.3.0-RELEASE-x86 (r12701M) but I can only see 3439MB reported in System Information.

The graphic under the reporting tab shows...



Is this normal?

Are you running the 32-bit version of FreeNAS? You need to run the 64-bit version.

Also, does your BIOS/UEFI show 8GB?

I'm running the 32 bit version, looks like a reinstall!

The bios shows 8GB as it boots up.

Save the config, burn a new stick of the 64bit version, load the old config, restart - and you should be done.

Thanks, but I did a complete re-build and took the opportunity to reconfigure the 4 x 2TB hard drives.
