Hi Everyone,
I've been using FreeNAS for the past 5 years on consumer gear and everything has gone ok but I've got a hard drive on the way out and it's time to expand and have a bit more reliability in my build.
This will only be serving 2 people with no transcoding.
Motherboard: Supermicro X11SSM-F
CPU: Intel G4560
Ram: Samsung M391A2K43BB1-CPB 16GB DDR4
Hard Drives: WD 6 TB Red x6 in RaidZ2
Case: Supermicro CSE-836BE16-R920B
HBA: HP H220 6Gbps SAS PCI-E 3.0 HBA LSI 9207-8i P20 IT Mode
I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to enterprise hardware, but here is the server chassis I ordered: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Supermicro-CSE-836BE16-R920B-3U-Server-Chassis-2x-920W-16-Bay-BPN-SAS2-836EL1/283181920696?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
This came with the case: Supermicro cbl-0108l-02
What is the cable type I need in order to connect up the backplane to the HP card? The card mentions supporting 4 drives per lane. I'm not as familiar with what I should be searching for to connect the two components.
