Good day to all,
Okay let me start by giving the stats of what I currently have:
Windows Home Server v.1, 24 hard drives totaling 33 Tb
Folders Size
Music 55 Gb
Photos 11 Gb
Public 5 Tb
Software 86 Gb
Tv Shows 33 Gb
Movies 7 Tb
Data total 12 Tb
Now my question is since the wiki states
"When determining how many disks to use in a RAIDZ, the following configurations provide optimal performance. Array sizes beyond 12 disks are not recommended.
Start a RAIDZ1 at at 3, 5, or 9, disks.
Start a RAIDZ2 at 4, 6, or 10 disks.
Start a RAIDZ3 at 5, 7, or 11 disks."
Is there really a limit to the number of disk in a ZFS pool? What would you recommend for me? I do not want to have several pools, must be wife friendly
. Any help would be appreciated!!!
