Hello,
I am running a small home server with FreeNAS OS Version: FreeNAS-11.2-U3 (Build Date: Mar 27, 2019 18:24) on Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3550 CPU @ 3.30GHz (4 cores) with Memory: 8 GiB. I also have a home router a NETGEAR ProSafe™ Gigabit 8 Port VPN Firewall FVS318G.
When I check for updates, I get the following error message:
HTTPConnectionPool(host='update-master.ixsystems.com', port=80): Max retries exceeded with url: /FreeNAS/trains.txt (Caused by NewConnectionError('urllib3.connection.HTTPConnection object at 0x820d39d30: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 8] hostname nor servname provided, or not known',)): Automatic update check failed. Please check system network settings.
While I am trying to figure out where my settings are wrong, I would like to manually update my freeNAS software. Where (and how) can I download and install the needed files? I downloaded the new software version and created a dvd to run, however I am not sure how to begin without completely replacing the settings I now have.
Thanks from a new novice user.
