Manjaro doesn't see Freenas

Hello there

I'm having this issue, I'm unable to connect from my Manjaro machine ( Cinnamon 4.2.4 Kernel 4.19.81-1-Manjaro ) to NFS share on Freenas ver 11.2 U5.

I enabled and configured ( I guess ) NFS from webgui, when I go on network, nothing appears.

So I tried to connect directly introducing FTP credentials and I have back "connection refused", even with root credentials.

I think something is missing by my side but don't know what.

Any help is appreciated.

With so little information you give, nobody will be able to help you, as there might be so many different reasons for that.
You'll need to post the following information:
  • configuration of the NFSD
  • configuration of the NFS shares
  • network configuration (server, client)
  • output of showmount -e <server> run on your client
  • output of cat /etc/exports on your server
Also a little bit more info on your server might help, see here.

FreeNas is installed on a desktop computer, I3 4130 with 8 GB RAM, 3 X 2TB WD RED + 1 Seagate 1TB in RaidZ configuration, pool is active and ok ( as for info given by webgui )

ARCHIVIO_ZIPO is the directory I want to reach.

Network configuration : every machine in the network is in static configuration, Client is 192.168.1.179 Freenas is 192.168.1.73

showmount -e 192.168.1.73
Export list for 192.168.1.73:
/mnt/ARCHIVIO_ZIPO (everyone)

cat /etc/exports
# /etc/exports - exports(5) - directories exported to NFS clients
#
# Example for NFSv2 and NFSv3:
# /srv/home hostname1(rw,sync) hostname2(ro,sync)
# Example for NFSv4:
# /srv/nfs4 hostname1(rw,sync,fsid=0)
# /srv/nfs4/home hostname1(rw,sync,nohide)
# Using Kerberos and integrity checking:
# /srv/nfs4 *(rw,sync,sec=krb5i,fsid=0)
# /srv/nfs4/home *(rw,sync,sec=krb5i,nohide)
#
# Use `exportfs -arv` to reload.

The path shared for NFS is /mnt/ARCHIVIO_ZIPO, "all dirs" flag checked, Maproot user and group left blank, and from the guide I set Mapall user and group to nobody.

What do you mean for NFSD?

Your post looks inconclusive. From the client you can see the exported mount, but the /etc/exports on the server is empty.
This somehow does not add up.
What do you mean for NFSD?
The NFS daemon. In the GUI check services->NFS. Is it up and running?

What command did you use to mount the share? Please post the command and the errror message.
I also don't understand your remark on FTP. What does that have to do with NFS?

NFSD is up and running, I don't use commands since in a test installation was not needed, so I tried the "connect to server" built-in to see what could happen.

Weirdly, in the network part freenas is not present.

If you don't use a command to mount the NFS share, the share won't be mounted, that's it.
(OK, with fstab you won't need a mount)
I'm a little bit puzzled, what did you expect to happen? As far as I see it at the moment it works like it is intended.

Well, previously wasn't necessary, so that's why I'm asking here :) I'll try a mount and see what happen.
