He created a virtual machine for freenas. I installed apache2 server on it and turned the port on the router. Unfortunately it doesn't work and you can't see it outside. I have an external IP address. I had the same configuration on raspberry and everything worked there. Do I need to configure anything in free us? I will add that the virtual machine uses the same physical interface after which I connect to free us.
IP freenas 192.168.0.9
Virtual Machine IP: 192.168.0.10

Your not providing much information to go on:
  • Can you reach apache from inside your network?
  • Have you port forwarded to the correct IP/port?
  • Have you set a default gateway?
  • Do you have a static external IP or dDNS?

I just managed to make it work on port 80 only port 443. Ports are unblocked on the router and in the firewalls. I have a fixed external IP address

that sounds like a security nightmare for me.

i would never give the whole www Access to my freenas nor a virtual machine running on it.
do it via a vpn or at least verify correct behavior with e.g. kali

Hello everyone, I have a problem with no vnc, I made a VM with Linux and when I click on VNC, an error "cannot connect to the server" appears. Does anyone have a solution?
