I'm still in the evaluation period of FREENAS.
So, I have created a volume then shared that volume using Windows (CIFS) share. Next, I created Datasets within that volume. NO BIG DEAL...Basic!
However, anytime I make changes to those Dataset shares it takes a really long time for the changes to take affect (like a day). For instance, as soon as I created those Datasets, I couldn't copy anything to them even with full access to Owner, Group & Other.
The only thing I can thing of is that the FREENAS is slow to make changes because I'm not using the recommended RAM (4GB instead of 8GB). Is this really my issue?
