Make pyhsical CD/DVD drive available in VM

Hi,

I'm quite new to Truenas Scale and I want to add Daphile (www.daphile.com) as a virtual machine to rip my CDs. So far unfortunately I cannot find any opportunity to integrate my physical CD/DVD Sata drive into the VM. In the Gui it is possible to select CDROM, but I cannot choose for a physical drive. I can also choose ISO images there.

With "mount -l" I didn't find any mountpoint for a CD/DVD drive and also in /etc/fstab there is no CD/DVD drive. In the dmesg messages I can find it.

Does anyone have a solution for this kind of problem?

You would want to pass through a suitable controller with an optical drive to the VM, since it's the most straightforward solution.

Thanks for the answer, but how to find and integrate a suitable controller in this case? My CD/DVD drive is connected with the onboard SATA controller.
