Hi,

I want to change the board in my system. My zpool1 (raid-z2) consists of 5 discs, zpool2 (mirror) has 2 disks. Is it important that today's disk "ada" becomes "ada" on the new board or does it matter how the disks are plugged in?

What may matter is if the NIC on the new board is a different series and uses a different driver (so igb0 could become em0 or something like that)... it can usually be corrected in the GUI if it's a difference, so not a big concern.

Having just done this, the device name for drives isn't important at all. If the network device changes then you'll need to reconfigure the active network device at boot. One you reconfigure that (and remove the old orphan device) everything should work fine.
