SOLVED LSI 9280 SAS 24i4e can be flash on IT mode ?

Little question for the hardware specialist.
I'm on an ESXi config with a 24hdd rack for the moment with 3 x M1015 IT mode in passthrough.
I wonder if I can replace my 3 x M1015 with a card like this to save space in PCI port.

Depending on the type of chassis you are using, there are also SAS expander modules that do not need a PCIe slot because the one in the video only uses the slot for power, all the data is going through the SAS cables.

Thanks for your help. I know this but i don't want expander for speed for the moment. I have a gooxi case from Xcase.uk the backplane is make with 6 SAS 6Gbps i have three IBM M1015 since many year. I search too make the same with a bigger hba pci card but not in expander mode if it's possible. No. The LSI 9280 is a 2108-based full RAID controller.

That's the answer I expected. That's what I thought I understood too. That's why I post ..... Do you have a hba card with 6 SAS to your knowledge? Or I have no choice to switch to expander mode if I want to recover PCI?

The LSI 9201-16i or 9305-24i are the normal high-port-count choices for this but you're advised to do your homework on it.

Perfect let's go to find a 9305-24i ! I understand know the series ! What do you mean by "but you're advised to do your homework on it." you want to tell me that i need to flash it ? if is that it's not a problem for me i had flash my three + spare M1015 alone i just need the files

On this ESXi i have already a 1080Ti passthrough a VM 2016R2 and i want to put a second standard graphic card for a VM ubuntu desktop if for that i wiil make three on one because a i had also a intel 520 2 SFP+ port card so my supermicro motherboard is full
