Quite frequently my Truenas 12 box drifts away a few hours and stops serving smb files correctly.
I did use the orignal freebsd pool servers at the beginning but after having this problem I switched to using internal ntp servers instead,
Unfortunately, that did not help so I have to stop the local ntpd service and manually run ntpdate against any of the servers to get it back to current time.
All the ntp servers we have internally are enterprise switches that doesn't miss a beat ever and I assume the official freebsd pool servers are reliable.
Can anyone give a hint to why this happens now and then ?
