Looking to build a small NAS Box

Of course I found this place! I have been playing around with different configurations but am thinking of a mini itx board in a mini case with 2 2tb drives....just not sure if this will stream to my wdtv and other devices ok - got more reading to do

Read the manual, read the forums (search "hardware" you'll find tons of people with their own proposed NAS boxes), and read the stickies as well. Good luck!

with freenas you'll want more hard drives, I have 4x1TB HDs and sometimes I feel like I should have just splurged and went with 6.... and yes it streams perfectly to WDTV...I have the WDTV 3rd gen and it is awesome... I also use it with Windows Media Center(Windows 8)
