Looking for advice on motherboard.

I'm looking to upgrade my server into a new (well newer) system. I have a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H rev 1.2 that will allow me to upgrade the cpu to an I7 and support a lot more ram than my current build. I've heard that some Gigabyte onboard network connections aren't friendly with FreeNas. Anyone have any advice for me?

Yeah. Try it, but if it isn't an Intel controller, and especially if it IS a Realtek controller, be prepared for the possibility of significant disappointment, and the need to shell out for an Intel Desktop CT adapter which is expected to work very well.

I suspected that might be an issue so I found this as a just in case.
