Link aggregation Questions

I'm am setting up link aggregation on a already established server with FreeNAS. The server is currently using port 1. When I look at link aggregation setup all I see is port 2. Is that because port 1 is already configured and in use? Whats the smoothest transitions to setup link aggregation on port 1 and port 2?

I'm a newbie here but I just went through this and I read that if you have defined your existing NIC as an interface in the FreeNAS GUI (which it does not do by default) then I don't believe it will let you select that NIC in a Lagg. If you have an interface defined, you'll need to delete it before you create a lagg if that interface is to be a member of the lagg.
