Left nav pane disappeared from GUI

All of a sudden, the left nav pane has disappeared from the GUI. I've tried IE and Firefox. Without the left nav pane, I cant shut the system down! Anyone have ideas on how to bring it back? The 'expand all' and 'collapse all' don't do anything.

What version of Firefox? It works for me in Chrome and Firefox (Aurora 19.0a2) but not IE10. In IE, it looks like a failure in the Dojo toolkit:

TypeError: Object doesn't support property or method 'getRoot'

But it should work in Firefox.

I had that happen the other day with Chrome, I just logged out, closed the browser and logged back in. it came back.

Check /var/log/messages for possible errors.
