I created a jail and then decided to delete it and now the hostname still exists. I tried using the warden command to delete and it says it doesn't exist but if I use warden to create the same jail it says it does exist. How do I delete it?

Oh that's interesting.

Does this problem persist after a reboot?

can we back up a second?

You say you're using the warden to create jails? From the command line?

No. I originally created the jail using the gui in Freenas. No issues with creating the jail and it worked just fine. I decided not to use the jail and tried to delete it using the gui and it won't delete. The service shows it's stopped and I can actually create and delete another jail using the same IP, just not the same hostname and it works fine. This is not affecting Freenas in any negative way, It's just annoying seeing it there. I only used the warden command line after trying the gui.

Okay this is weird. After I posted the above reply, I logged into Freenas and checked my jails again. Somehow the service for that jail had started again and I was able to stop the service and delete the jail without any problems. Not sure what happened but it's resolved now. Thanks for your help.
