I've using FreeNAS for a few years with an old Intel E3 build. In my country energy is very expensive, so I build a new one that consumes lesser energy. I'd run some tests and everything goes fine. I also want use a bigger boot drive, so I bought one.
The installation on the new drive fails, showed an Error code, retried and finally stuck like written on this page (I know that tha question for freeBSD is, but the error is the same): https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mailing.freebsd.questions/FqNSaeJVh10
Then I wanted to create a pool to test the drive but this takes over 2h, what is definitively not normal. I've searched the net for some information for incompatible drives but doesn't find some.
That the drive I use at the moment is an USB3 drive. This should to be fine and I read that big drives like mine should work.
