Hi everyone,

First of all I LOVE FREENAS! It's unbelievably amazing. It's changed completely the way I perceive storage. So thank-you very much to iX for continued development.

I have setup an iSCSI array specifically to use with Adobe Lightroom, it needs this type of disk to be able to launch the Catalogues, it won't do it from a shared drive.

So what I want to do is copy the files that I have on another array to the iSCSI one.... However I cannot find the mount point ie: /mnt/etc... to point RSYNC to.
(I can find the disk alright but when I copy a file there it doesn't go into the iSCSI drive)

Anyone know if this is possible? Am I looking in the wrong place for the iSCSI drive?

Many thanks,

Robin

You need to mount iSCSI from a system (like the machine running Lightroom) and use that system to transfer the data.

Technically iSCSI extent can be accessed locally as simple SCSI disk from FreeNAS itself, but in such case FreeNAS have to understand the file system used on the disk, that may be a problem in case of NTFS, especially for writing.
